1.) There has been much discussion about developing ways to entwine courses and disciplines. How is this occurring in the MS & US?
Where are we on the road to e-books…and less weight in those backpacks?
2.) I was wondering if any studies have been done tocompare note taking with a pencil and paper versuses taking notes on the think pad? Do you find that some children prefer one over the other?
3.) What are the the pros and cons of distraction due to increase use of technology? What are the benefits of old fashioned paper and pen? What are the pros and cons of so much screen time? How can we measure productivity in terms of using computers? How do we help students and parents make sense of all the info that comes at us?
4.) We still have a ways to go with addressing learning differences in children, though CA does better than most. I am also worried with all the technology today, our children may not be learning to dissect great literature, or most importantly, learn the art of writing and conversing with others.
5.) Every student has a blog and uses it for assignments, as directed by faculty. Although Wiki spaces seemed popular in MS, my son hasn't used them in US, and he has only used Google docs once in his year and a half in US. So, perhaps I need a better understanding of whether faculty will be using these options in the future.
6.) I would love to know more the day-to-day stuff, and how it is being used at CA.
7.) My husband would like to know how they are using google docs?
